An experiment in co-authorship – Sherlock Holmes and the Internet of Things invites 25 participants to step into a collaborative design space. Together participants will lay the groundwork for a storyworld that will play out globally through a series of connected objects that become conduits for a re-imaging of Sherlock Holmes. Recently entered into the public domain, Sherlock Homes will provide the foundation for an exploration into new forms and functions of storytelling. Those who apply, and are accepted into the lab, will become co-authors and owners of the experiment.

Building Storyworlds

This fall I’ll be teaching Building Storyworlds – the art, craft & biz of storytelling in 21C at Columbia Unversity again. We’ll be inviting guest speakers, mentors and collaborators from around the world to join us digitally. One of the goals of the course is to open the design process and share much of what we do within the class as possible. If you’re interested in participating let us, know we’d love to hear from you.
