Putty Hill a truly indie gem
Putty Hill is an interesting film that is intimate and packs an emotional punch. The fact that it is mainly non-actors is even more amazing. It has a wonderful feeling of being a doc but at the same time has a fluid narrative flow. It just opened this past weekend in NYC and will be rolling out to other cities soon.
Colorbind an artful weave
Recently stumbled upon Colorbind, an artful game for the iphone / ipod touch. It’s a fun and mellow app where gameplay involves connecting dots as you weave color strips together using your finger. A nice feature is the ability to save the ribbon art you create while playing.

Kid Koala
We recentally finished a new RADAR ep on Kid Koala.
Most people know Kid Koala as a world famous DJ and turntablist. But the soundscapes he composes are only one element of his expansive creative universe. His newest project, Space Cadet, is a sketch-board graphic novel about an astronaut girl, her guardian robot, and their adventures through space. Partly inspired by the recent birth of his daughter, Space Cadet is accompanied by a hypnotic soundtrack, recorded late at night so he wouldn’t wake her. Kid Koala explores a wide variety of instruments and visual tools to craft this wintertime lullaby and storybook.
